To remember Mike Jendrzejczyk in a way that Mike would certainly have appreciated, Human Rights Watch has created the “Mike Jendrzejczyk Emergency Fund for Asian Human Rights Activists.” Every year many human rights workers in Asia are threatened or attacked and have to flee their residence or even their country. Funds to facilitate their movements can save lives and offer protection, but these funds are increasingly scarce. Mike always worked tirelessly to help people in these situations.

In Mike’s memory (and in lieu of flowers), please consider a tax-deductible donation to this fund. Please make checks payable to Human Rights Watch and please specify that the funds are for the “Mike Jendrzejczyk Emergency Fund for Asian Human Rights Activists.”
