Why Support Human Rights Watch
Human Rights Watch is an independent, nongovernmental organization, supported entirely by contributions from private individuals and foundations worldwide. It accepts no government funds, directly or indirectly.
The following are some examples of costs involved in investigating the facts behind human rights abuses:
CHF 250 buys one visa for a researcher to enter a country
CHF 500 pays for a translator and vehicle for one day
CHF 1’000 to cover war risk insurance to high risk locations
CHF 6’200 funds a two week research mission.
CHF 9’500 funds a researcher on a month long mission.
