| Our
mission: The High School Program is a division of the Human Rights
Watch International Film Festival. The High School Program provides human
rights-related videos and educational resources to supplement existing
high school and after-school program curricula. Our goal is to meet the
needs of high school teachers and after-school educators experimenting
with complex human rights issues and to support important and sometimes
difficult conversations in ways that inspire youth dialogue and youth media
production around issues of human rights.
Announcements:: The
Mediarights.org - a long time partner of the Human Rights Watch International Film Festival will be partnering with the High School Program to add two years of programming from the Mediarights.org film festival to our catalogue. Each of the Media That Matters Film Festival films are available to view in their entirety directly from the Mediarights.org website.
The HRWIFF High School Program is pleased to announce an ongoing partnership with P.O.V.'s Youth Views. In November 2004, HRWIFF High School Program and P.O.V. came together to present the first Teacher Training as part of the third annual Youth Views Institute.
