The general job duties of this position include, but are not limited to: data base entry, ensuring the accuracy, continuity and security of data; supporting staff to successfully enter data, design and generate queries, export data, and produce lists and reports; supervise the gift entry and acknowledgment processes; prepare ad hoc and custom reports as required; manage user accounts and security; provide technical support; implement software upgrades; document database protocols; assist the Director and Manager of Development Operations with conceptualizing and implementing new database and research tools; coordinate quarterly and special mailings to donors and prospects; process major gifts; answer customer phone and email queries; correct and update constituent information from returned mail and other sources; and provide other related services as needed.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver, strategic and organized thinker with a minimum of two years of experience using Raiser’s Edge. S/he will have advanced knowledge of database systems; expertise in database queries, import/export and reporting functions; full working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, mail merges and other standard software applications; strong written and verbal skills in English; strong customer service skills; excellent time-management and prioritization abilities. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. The successful candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, attentive to detail and able to work well under pressure while juggling multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of French and/or German languages is a plus.
