Letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin

We are writing to ask for your guarantee that people displaced from the Chechnya conflict living in Ingushetia
will enjoy their rights under international law to satisfactory humanitarian conditions, to choose their own
residence, and to be protected from forced return to serious human rights violations. In particular, we hope to
gain your assurances that internally displaced persons living in the Aki-Yurt camp, in northern Ingushetia, will
not be forced leave the camp imminently as announced by local authorities.
