Funding

The government has annually budgeted 16 million CFA [approximately U.S.$27,000] for the CSDH. The full amount is turned over to the CSDH for its management and expenditures. The CSDH is also authorized to seek funding from other sources, by which it has approximately doubled its budget. Other funds have come primarily from other sources in the Senegalese state, including some U.S.$50,000 from the profits from the national lottery. The CSDH has requested increased funds from the official budget for the future. The committee also accepts funds from foundations such as the Friedrich Ebert foundation and the U.N.
