About the San Francisco Office

Human Rights Watch is an international organization dedicated to promoting the observance of internationally recognized human rights worldwide.

Human Rights Watch in Northern California is composed of a dynamic Committee of more than 50 prominent members of the community, a Bay Area Network group of emerging professionals and a full-time staff, who host regular events to create awareness about the work of Human Rights Watch and educate the Bay Area about global human rights issues.

As part of a larger network of offices worldwide, the Northern California office is joined by offices located in Berlin, Chicago, Geneva, Hamburg, London, Los Angeles, Munich, Paris, Santa Barbara, Toronto, Zurich, and our International Headquarters based in New York.
