Friederike Mager is Human Rights Watch's EU Advocacy Coordinator, focusing on foreign policy. Previously, she worked with HRW's UN Advocacy Division at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva and as a consultant at the Center for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels, where she co-authored a critical analysis of the EU's migration management complex. Friederike holds a Master's degree (cum laude) in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from Sciences Po Paris, specializing in forced displacement, WASH, international law and human rights advocacy. Friederike is fluent in German, English, and French, and is currently learning Spanish.
