A police officer in Yerevan’s Erebuni Nubarashen district court prevented Areg Kyureghyan from passing a note to his lawyer then removed him along with two other defendants from the courtroom. According to lawyers for Kyureghyan, Avetisyan, and two other defendants, Arayik Khandoyan, Gagik Yeghiazaryan, police then beat them in the court’s basement.
