Simon Bizimana (left) died in March 2018, possibly from beatings inflicted on him while he was detained for refusing to register to vote in Burundi. Members of the ruling party’s youth league killed Dismas Sinzinkayo (right) in February 2018 after he failed to show a receipt proving he had registered for the referendum.
