XIII. Acknowledgements

This report was written by Juliane Kippenberg, NGO liaison in the Africa division of Human Rights Watch. It is based on field research conducted by Juliane Kippenberg, Maria Burnett, Burundi researcher at Human Rights Watch, Jean-Baptiste Sahokwasama, legal representative of APRODH, Ladislas Gahungu, assistant psychologist at APRODH and APRODH observers based in the provinces of Burundi. Béatrice Nicitegetse provided research assistance and translated the interviews.
