HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH RESEARCH PROJECT: IMMIGRATION DETAINERS

HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH RESEARCH PROJECT:

IMMIGRATION DETAINERS

Are you an attorney or advocate for an immigrant who wasdetained under an ICE detainer?

Did the detainer affect his or her rights in the criminal justice system?

Did the detainer affect his or her rights in the juvenile justice system?

Did the detainer affect his or her ability to fight deportation?

WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR STORIES

HRW is interested in hearing how the rights and interests of immigrants have been affected by the ICE detainer system. We know detainers are being used in varying ways across the country. We want to collect enough data to fill in the gaps of what we know, so that we can best advocate with our partners for change.

Please provide the basic details of your story using this form. Feel free to withhold or disguise identifying information, but we ask that you provide an email address or phone number at which you can be reached to confirm and discuss your story in further detail. We will get back to you within a week.

If you prefer to email us directly, please contact:
