(Woman 1): I see Human Rights Watch as the messenger for people who have been victims of human rights violations.

Jude: What we're really trying to do is understand the kind of suffering that people are going through and how we can help to prevent that suffering.

Tirana: We protect and defend the human rights of people across the world.

Tirana: We do this in more than 100 countries. We are a small but mighty team.

Tirana: With experts of all kinds.

Rich: I'm here in the Ukrainian city of Bucha.

Tirana: We are on the ground investigators, journalists, geospatial analysts, open source experts, and media teams who share our findings with the world.

Tirana: Our method is simple. We investigate human rights abuses, expose the truth through in-depth reporting, and advocate for change in the highest levels of power. And the results have been dramatic.

(Woman 2): We worked for eight years to get a treaty to ban landmines. We worked for seven years to get a treaty to ban the use of child soldiers.

Tirana: We don’t accept government funding. We remain independent and impartial at all costs. What we’re doing can be complicated. Why it matters is very simple.

Mausi: If it's not okay for it to happen to me, it shouldn't be okay for it to happen to someone else.

Tirana: Everyone everywhere deserves a life of freedom, safety, and dignity.
