Elisa Epstein is the former Advocacy Officer for the Washington Advocacy team at Human Rights Watch, where she conducted advocacy with the United States government on national security and foreign policy issues. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, she was a Research Assistant at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy and interned with the Pentagon’s Office of Middle East Policy and the American Refugee Committee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from the University of Chicago.
