Morocco: No excuse for domestic violence

In this video, Moroccan comedian and feminist activist Mounia Magueri plays the role of a domestic violence survivor, an abusive husband, a police officer, and a prosecutor—thus highlighting the problem of domestic violence from different angles. The case depicted in this scenario is fictional, but all the arguments put forward by the different characters are derived from, and closely reflect, the findings and testimonies of Human Rights Watch’s research on domestic violence in Morocco.
