Cristina Quijano Carrasco
Cristina is a Researcher in the Women’s Rights Division, investigating reproductive justice issues in the Americas.
She comes to Human Rights Watch from Amnesty International where she conducted research on forced migration, gender-based violence and access to justice. Cristina previously worked at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on protection and refugee status determination issues. Cristina has also done consulting work for the International Committee for the Red Cross, the Inter-American Commission for Human Rights and Oxfam. She has conducted research and advocacy in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Lebanon, Peru, and the United States.
Cristina is a graduate of Universidad San Francisco de Quito and Yale University.
